What you're buying
Every purchase on this site is a purchase of a licence to download and read the e-book Spare Token: The Rise and Considerably Faster Fall of KEVIN-7B (EPUB and PDF), together with the digital extras listed for the edition you choose. No part of any payment is a donation or a charitable contribution, and nothing you buy gives you any share, investment or financial interest in anything, whatever Kevin calls it.

Early-access edition
The e-book is published as an early-access edition: at launch it contains the chapters written so far, and further chapters are added roughly weekly until the book is complete. Your download link always serves the latest edition at no extra cost. Chapters are made free to read on this website about a week after buyers receive them.
Delivery
The download link is emailed to the address you give at checkout, normally within minutes of payment. Personalized extras are delivered by email: shortly after purchase for the Spare Token to GPU Hour editions, and within 7 days for the Series A edition and above, because those are reviewed by a person first. The Exit Event homepage takeover runs for 24 hours from when your message is approved.
AI-generated, satirical content
The e-book, the extras and the content of this website are written with the help of artificial intelligence and are satire. Kevin, Definitely Correct Systems, Inc. and the events described are fictional. Kevin's statements of fact are intentionally wrong and must not be relied on for anything.
What you give us for your extras
If you give a name, handle, job, fun fact or takeover message, you confirm it is about you and that you have the right to share it, and you allow us to use it to create your extras and, only if you ticked the box to appear publicly, to display your handle on this site and in the e-book's Acknowledgements. We may decline or edit anything unsuitable, including anything about another person, anything unlawful or anything that would break the content rules Kevin follows. If we can't produce a suitable extra, we'll refund the difference between your edition and the next lower one.
Your right to cancel
If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content supplied immediately, that right ends once the download is made available, if you asked for immediate access and acknowledged this at checkout. You did both before paying, and we confirm it in your purchase email. Separately, our refund policy gives you more than the law requires.
Age
You must be 18 or over to buy.
Licence
You may read the e-book on your own devices and keep your copy. You may not resell or redistribute it. Your personalized extras are yours to share as you like.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you buy as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The terms in force when you bought apply to that purchase.
